Why do people have a problem realizing that people in authority can do wrong?

Because "authority figure is at fault and their subject is innocent" is equally incorrect. I don't hold the same views on society as you do I guess, where do you live? My understanding is that everyone tries to find fault with the authority, and always side with the victim, whether it be by their own doing or not.
