Does he want me to be like them?

i was talking to my friend today and we were talking about if we were to change the way we look how would we feel about it. so then he said that it would bereally cool if i ever did consider changing the way i look i should dress like a scene kid. like he said he would want me to wear black skinny jeans, a death metal band shirt, and have the "scene" hair with blonde bangs. and i was like uh okk do you want me to change into a scene kid b/c you think they're hot or something and he was like no you look great dressing the way you dress now and he said he was just saying. but does that mean he's into chicks that are scene, does he want me to be like them, or was it just a suggestion? but if he did want a scene girl wouldnt he have dumped me for one b/c we have been together for a year and 9 months and he's really into death metal and grindcore, so idk. HELP! thanks
