How do i ask out girls that i like?

There are a few girls in my high school i really like. But people in my school talk so much that word would spread so easily. I think that alot of people either dont like me or find me weak cause i have no confidence and i let people walk all over me. I feel that i cant ask anyone out cause they wont like me for who i am. Im 5'10, lean, kind and shy. I may look weak but i dont tak sh*t from no one i just wont throw the first punch. i feel thats the only way to get people to say omg dont mess with him. And i think no one will ever stop making fun of me. It is very hatd for me to make friends because im neutral. Im not athletic, i couldnt say i dont look god because i dont know wut that is and im not very good at alot of stuff. people cant seem to understand that i know how to have a good time but many dont and wont ever. Any tips how to over come my fear of being with a girl?
