I'm the Dm of my DnD game, can I look at the PC's character sheets?

Hey, I'm the DM in my DnD game. Can I look at the player's character sheets. One player claims I can't. I just want to check their weapons, adding their modifiers and penalties and making sure that they are doing the right. Damage. Am I allowed to look or no?
