Is it normal to experience pain while pulling out a ?

So I'm a virgin who about a month ago decided to give using a ly another shot(for the sake of self-education/familiarization with my body) after a year or so of inactive use. Anyway, after a week and a half of practice I was finally able to insert the whole thing. Now, even though I still get a bit of discomfort upon insertion, my main problem lies in pulling out. You see, as I pull out the l feel a strong, painful burning-like sensation. I highly doubt that lubricant is the issue here. Is there anyone who experienced this that can clue me as to what maybe going on? Thanks:)
